Anthropic announced a $65 billion Series H at a $965 billion post-money valuation, led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital and co-led by Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, ICONIQ, and XN. It included $15 billion of previously committed hyperscaler money, $5 billion of it from Amazon. The valuation had more than doubled from the $380 billion of February's Series G in barely three months, putting Anthropic ahead of OpenAI — last valued at $852 billion in March — as the world's most valuable startup. Run-rate revenue had crossed $47 billion earlier in May. The company said the funds would advance safety and interpretability research, expand compute to meet demand for Claude, and scale its products and partnerships, and it disclosed infrastructure partnerships with Micron, Samsung, and SK hynix plus compute agreements with Amazon (five gigawatts), Google and Broadcom (five gigawatts of TPU capacity), and SpaceX (GPU access).
