Microsoft takes an exclusive licence to GPT-3

On 22 September, Microsoft announced it had taken an exclusive licence to GPT-3, giving it the right to build the model into its own products. Access through OpenAI's API would continue as before.

Microsoft acquires exclusive license to GPT-3
Microsoft and OpenAI announced that Microsoft had exclusively licensed GPT-3 from OpenAI. As part of the multiyear partnership announced in 2019, the deal allowed Microsoft to build GPT-3 technology into its own products and services. OpenAI stated that access to GPT-3 and future models through the OpenAI API would continue unchanged, with no impact on existing or future API users. The agreement cemented Microsoft's privileged position in commercializing GPT-3.
